The Kaplan Stahler Gumer Braun Agency (KSGB) was founded by Elliot Stahler and Mitch Kaplan in 1981. Messrs. Kaplan and Stahler met in the storied William Morris Agency mailroom. Together, they saw a need in the industry and seized the opportunity to create an agency dedicated to providing a more focused, personalized approach to client representation.
In 1995, Bob Gumer joined the agency after seven years as a literary agent at ICM. He brought to the company a prestigious roster of accomplished writers and directors and a shared vision of the agency’s future.
In 2001, Alan Braun came on board with a distinguished list of comedy and drama writers and the skill and experience needed to expand the company’s reach into late night and alternative programming. In 2003, Mr. Braun was selected by the Hollywood Reporter as one of their elite “Next Generation Top 35” under age 35.
Today, Kaplan Stahler Gumer Braun holds a distinct position as the premiere literary agency in the industry. With its twenty-five year history of successful representation of television and motion picture writers, directors and producers, KSGB’s unique brand of focused, personalized representation is now, more than ever, a clear alternative. |
